The estimated base salary range for this role is “$59,040 to $68,000” per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

Reporting to the Supply Chain & Planning Manager, the Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for assuring that the appropriate resources, as defined by CAD drawings and production requirements, are identified, purchased, and delivered on a timely basis so manufacturing has materials needed for manufacturing to meet production schedules.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Purchases special-order product for customers and communicating with the purchasing team to help keep inventory at adequate levels.
  • Works in conjunction with Project Managers, Project Designers, Manufacturing Team and others to identify material needs through drawing and spec review and create material takeoff list(s).
  • Reads and understands drawings, scopes of work, material requests, and other avenues of material demand.
  • Develops and implements plans to maintain project schedules and demand schedules based on need from production.
  • Collaborates with the project management team in establishing and maintaining appropriate flow of materials based on schedule.
  • Uses best practices and collaborate with Supply Chain to reduce work stoppages and down time by working with suppliers to provide timely deliveries to support project schedules.
  • Understanding of the types of materials needed for various custom projects.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None

 

Travel:  Minimal travel expected, approximately less than 5%

 

Qualifications

    • High level of computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, overcome obstacles and assure customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational, mathematical, and communication skills·
  • Ability to work unsupervised while prioritizing work and managing time efficiently
  • Experience in the building materials or construction industry·
  • Knowledge of dimensional lumber, panel products and other building materials
  • General knowledge of CAD
  • Ability to use Optimization Software to determine needed quantities for jobs.

  1. Office Environment – This position operates in a professional office environment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. No PPE is required.

 

  1. Plant Environment – This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions.  Required PPE includes: Hard hat (when required), safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection.

 

Education and/or Experience

 

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain & Information Systems, Business Administration, Logistics or equivalent level of experience and education.

About the location (Marshfield MO)

Architectural Components Group, Inc. (ACGI), a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI), is one of twelve AWI plants in North America. Our Marshfield plant in south western Missouri is conveniently located within 3 hours to large cities such as Tulsa, Kansas City, and St. Louis as well as within 30 minutes to the smaller city of Springfield.
