Our Information Technology team is currently seeking a Manufacturing Solutions Analyst at our facility in Hilliard, OH. As Manufacturing Solutions Analyst, you will mainly be responsible for providing technical expertise to various analytical and technical assignments, including but not limited to: problem diagnosis and solutions, software and application component support and maintenance, and documentation, implementation, administration duties.

 

You will be expected to split time between providing day-to-day operational support for end-users using existing applications and project-based work pertaining to the development and deployment of new application services and business process improvements. In addition, you will be expected to act as the liaison between technical staff, management, end users, and vendors regarding service requests, usage, standards, security, and other technical issues.

 

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Solutions Analyst:

  • Lead and participate in design, development, and enhancement of manufacturing applications
  • Perform requirement gathering and provide technical guidance on options and solutions
  • Oversee promotion of configuration and development changes (i.e., write functional specifications, perform and coordinate testing, obtain customer approvals and supporting documentation and support promotion of code and configuration to production)
  • Create business cases which comprise of recommendations, cost/benefit and risk analysis
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships pertaining to staff augmentation and systems support
  • Provide integrated systems planning and recommend new and different technologies
  • Direct management of resources and monitor progress for multiple projects
  • Establish and curate lines of communication with stakeholders while ensuring all parties are informed of incidents, problems, and resolutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve global standardization and organizational efficiencies
  • Assist with development of IT capital and expense budget, including estimates
  • Provide technical consultation to clients and IT management to ensure efficiency of systems
  • Perform research and evaluate new and alternative solutions and technologies
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of multi-year functional roadmaps
  • Document design and analysis, including post mortem documentation and metric collection
  • Maintain application documentation and process topology

 

Required Qualifications and Education of the Manufacturing Solutions Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of technical analysis or process management experience
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office products

 

Preferred Qualifications of the Manufacturing Solutions Analyst:

  • Knowledge of .NET, SharePoint, SQL/SQL Server, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, Windows Forms, Web Services, XML, and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Linux/Unix Shell Scripting, Windows PowerShell
  • Understanding of portal architecture design and experience with relational database design
  • Experience with versioning and change control software (Team Foundation Server preferable)
  • Completed Certifications: Process (ITIL, PMI, Six Sigma), Technical (SAP, Data Warehousing)

About the Location (Hilliard, OH)

Our Hilliard Plant, one of six Armstrong ceiling plants in North America, employs approximately 135 associates across multiple shifts who are involved in the manufacturing and shipping of acoustical ceiling tile.  The Hilliard plant prides itself in placing high priority on safety, quality and exceeding customer expectations.
