Shift: 2nd Shift (3:15 pm - 1:15 am ) Monday - Thursday
Starting Hourly Rate : $22.00 - $25.00 (Starting wage could be more depending on skills and experience) Plus $1 Shift Differential
Compensation: $1,000 sign-on bonus ($500 at 3 month & 6 months of employment) , $1,000 retention bonus paid on your- 1 year anniversary date.
Primary Duty:
Set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and quality check product on an Amada Press Brake in a Metal Fabrication shop. The position is responsible for following all company safety policies, confirming, and maintaining all manufacturing standards, and ensuring work schedules are accomplished. This is a 2nd shift position working primarily four, 10hr shifts: 3:15 pm - 1:15 am (M-Th).
General Duties:
- Commit to and follow the facility Mission, Vision and Values that support the AWI Operating Principles as an individual and team.
- Observe all safety procedures and plant regulations to prevent injury to self and others.
- Upon training & qualification, perform miscellaneous duties as required including machine operation (turrets, brakes, presses, panel benders, tube benders, etc.), final panel assembly, infill pad creation, crating, forklift operation, inventory counting, and assisting others.
- Work with steel, aluminum, curved and angled parts.
- Operate machinery or stations as instructed by the Team Leader to meet scheduled demands.
Press Brake Duties:
- Set-up sheet-metal jobs on an Amada Press Brake, following provided fabrication drawings, within tolerances of +/-0.016.
- Knowledge of metal manufacturing materials, fabrication processes
- Operate Amada Press Brake to complete these jobs and perform troubleshooting to keep the machine running safely.
- Conduct quality checks per assigned frequency on parts after banding to ensure meeting the tolerances provided.
- Reduce powder waste by learning the details on how the equipment functions.
- Keep accurate records of production, quality checks, and updates to standards for other operators in area
- Properly clean and maintain equipment per housekeeping guidelines and manufacturer recommendations.

- Follow all Company, OSHA Safety, and EPA Environmental Policies.
- Always ensures personal safe behavior and encourages safe behavior in others.
- Participates in safety related events/trainings/processes.
- Conform to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Report any safety/environmental incidents.
Education and Experience
- Prior manufacturing experience on Press Brakes. Preferably Amada Press Brake Equipment.
- Knowledge of metal manufacturing materials, fabrication processes
- Ability to bend and produce metal parts holding a .016 tolerance.
Work Environment
Plant Environment – This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions. Basic PPE required: safety glasses, earplugs, and steel toe/composite boots. Specific PPE & training will be provided for activities requiring additional accommodation.
