The estimated base salary range for this role is $50,000 to $64,450 per year.

Job Output

 

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Manufacturing Technical Coordinator will mainly be responsible for the transactional business processes required to flow orders through the plant.  This position will also provide timely, accurate, and efficient administrative support and planning activities in the areas of production, purchasing, and accounting.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as the role is further developed.

 

Manufacturing Coordination

  • Serves as plant liaison to Corporate Construction Services providing input from JT production/procurement for custom project costing.
  • Enters, creates bills of materials for standard orders into Epicor, prepares job packages (SO, production drawing, quality collection checklist, job traveler, SAP documents), and distributes to the Production Team.
  • Reviews job details against documented lead times and verifies customer requested dates can be achieved.
  • Communicates custom changes and early and late shipments to Lancaster Architectural Specialties.
  • Updates Ariba with confirmation/ship dates of all standard product orders and tracking information for all projects.
  • Serves as Standard MetalWorks, Secure Lock, ARX, and other custom project lead and is responsible for communicating status of projects.
  • Provides input and reviews all releases to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicates with Project Coordinators and understands customer expectations.
  • Manages project closing in Epicor to include running WIP report, closing of jobs, closing of Trello jobs, update production log, and communicate with finance for final invoicing.
  • Assists Finance with job invoicing.
  • Coordinates with Construction Services, Production, and Logistics to ensure the smooth flow of information through the facility, ensuring on-time delivery.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None

 

Travel:  Minimal; less than 5%.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in SAP, Ariba, and/or Epicor.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  1. Office Environment – This position operates in a professional office environment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. No PPE is required.

 

  1. Plant Environment – This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions.  Required PPE includes: Hard hat (when required), safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection.

 

Education and/or Experience

 

  • High school diploma required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting in a scheduling, planning or coordinator role.
