Reporting to the Benefits Supervisor, the Benefits Administrator will primarily be responsible for performing a variety of administrative functions to support assigned benefits programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement and leaves of absence. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, administering benefit plans, and provide support to employees regarding their benefit inquiries.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with employee, disability carrier, and the employee’s department to initiate and facilitate Short-Term Disability (STD)/Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims.
- Maintain vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations to ensure compliance and accuracy on the usage of benefit programs.
- Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state and local regulations affecting employee benefits.
- Guide and educate plan participants on related health and welfare plan issues and resources.
- Complete benefits enrollments in HRIS, including audit of benefits information.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of employee communications, educational efforts, benefit enrollment events, and management of electronic information.
- Communicate with internal departments, employee, client, and vendors to avoid gaps in process.
- Recommend areas of improvement or changes to the process as needed.
- Support annual open enrollment process, training, communications, and reporting.
- Audit monthly benefit invoices for accuracy.
- Prepare reports to meet weekly, monthly, and annual requirements.

- Demonstrated understanding of HR administration basics, including employee master data, life events, benefits, HR policies and procedures, compensation, organization structure, tax, garnishments, and employment law, and impact of data on payroll process
- Familiarity with state & federal employment laws including ACA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, and HIPAA
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related benefits administration experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Prior experience administering disability claims and various leave programs.
- Experience working in an integrated enterprise application.
- Experience with Employee Central, SAP, CEBS, and CBP
- Prior experience working in a multi-site manufacturing organization.
