As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for effective coordination and supervision of production activities at the MRK Libertyville plant. This includes promoting employee safety, effective and efficient utilization of equipment, materials, and people. You will be accountable for meeting budgeted objectives in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).

What you’ll be doing

• Monitoring hourly SQDC boards and redirecting resources to improve throughput and production efficiencies
• Providing overall supervision for MRK’s manufacturing processes
• Managing daily scheduling and sequencing of product workflow for assigned production line
• Maintaining safety awareness through active supervision
• Driving 5S and good housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Managing performance of production employees by providing training, guidance, and hands-on support 
• Ensuring accurate cost management (time and inventory reporting)
• Recommending quality and efficiency operational improvements
• Using Lean manufacturing principles throughout supervision and management
• Ensuring quality and compliance of product to technical specifications and requirements
• Collaborating with Facility and Maintenance Supervisor to develop and improve preventive maintenance on machinery

• Strong knowledge of Standard Product manufacturing

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• High School Diploma OR GED

• 3+ years supervising in a manufacturing environment  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or post-secondary technical training, or related
