The estimated base salary range for this role is “$95,000.00 to $125,000.00” per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is currently seeking a Commercial Solutions Manager within Architectural Specialties to cover the Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Hawaii markets. 


Reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Solutions Manager, West, you will be responsible for managing the Architectural Specialties product line on the largest & most significant projects within the Southern California Region focusing on increasing both sales and profitability.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Identifying key projects early in design (pre-planning/schematics stages), owning & driving these projects from concept to order closure/final installation to insure a positive Total Customer Experience.
  • Works closely with Project Architects, Design Build Contractors, General Contractors/Construction Managers, Developers, and Owners to create unique and differentiated specifications that enable value-added Armstrong solutions for our customers.  
  • Focus on winning at every stage of the project by leveraging design services within the You Inspire Solutions Center, pre-engineered integrated solutions, construction expertise, and a broad portfolio of ceiling & wall solutions. 
  • Integrate with the Area Sales Manager and the local sales teams in their designated areas to capture Armstrong's comprehensive line of solutions (core ceilings, core grid, AS, and specialty grid), thereby supporting our growth strategy of selling more into every space and selling into more spaces.


What will make you successful:

  • College degree or direct relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial building product sales experience, preferably in interior product finishes.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
  • Working knowledge/experience of the architectural design process, commercial construction, contracting, and distribution.
  • Team player oriented - motivated to achieve own objectives but puts the highest priority on team goals. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Windows-based), PowerPoint, Excel, BlueBeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proficiency in reading bid documents & architectural drawings
