ACGI, an Armstrong World Industries (AWI) company, is currently seeking an Architectural Specialties Project Manager to join our Project Management team in Marshfield, MO. The Architectural Specialties Project Manager will mainly be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.  

 

The Project Manager will also be responsible with coordinating all work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex and diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.  The chosen candidate will also be tasked with managing expectations by coordinating and communicating on scope, cost, schedule, vendors, and manufacture of contractual deliverables.

 

Responsibilities of the Architectural Specialties Project Manager:

  • Develop communication plan after project handoff
  • Analyze initial contract requirements
  • Determine status of sample and drawings done during quotation phase
  • Establish contact with customer to direct expectations of product and target ship week
  • Establishes project timelines
  • Review architectural plans; track sample and shop/product detail drawing status
  • Develop project objectives, policies, and performance standards
  • Communicate with customers, supervisor, and manufacturing on submittal status
  • Control project flow
  • Provide administrative direction of customers and various internal departments
  • Maintain and archive internal and external communication for each project
  • Track status of submittal for each project and update internal databases as project submittal status changes
  • Track invoicing and payment status; track projects through the manufacturing phase
  • Conduct inspection of products as they move through manufacturing process
  • Provides risk mitigation and problem resolution
  • Communicate with customers as early as possible about delays
  • Create documents
  • Write, submit, and track, change orders and order acknowledgements for each project
  • Provide oral and written reports with issues, implications, and potential courses of action; brief upper management regarding status of projects
  • Communicate customer tracking information once project has shipped; conduct follow-up meetings with customers, and request and send maintenance and warranty packets
  • Track final invoice and payment status.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on product designs

 

Required Qualifications and Education of the Architectural Specialties Project Manager:

  • 5+ years of direct related experience
  • BS Degree in Construction Management or related is preferred
  • Experience with coordinating multiple facets of projects, including: analyzing information and architectural drawings, communication with customers and other stakeholders, setting of expectations, scheduling, planning, assigning and directing work, risk mitigate and problems resolution, and budget control
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Project Management related software and tools
  • Strong proficiency using computer applications including, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Ability to interpret blue prints and project scopes
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise reports
  • Ability to present information to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action
  • Strong proficiency explaining complex issues in a concise manner
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet project deadlines
  • Capable of occasional travel to visit a construction site, suppliers or attend meetings.
  • Highly knowledgeable in project management concepts and processes.

 

About the Location (Marshfield, MO)
