Responsabilités du technicien:

  • Réaliser des dessins de fabrication clairs et précis selon les normes requises en utilisant les logiciels de conception 2D et 3D (AutoCad (requis) et Solidworks (un atout))
  • Création et maintenance des de la bibliothèque de pièces avec peu de supervision.
  • Préparer des informations techniques connexes et produire des documents tels que des dessins d'assemblage de fabrication, des listes de fabrication détaillées et des lots de travaux de production.
  • Reconnaître les problèmes techniques des dessins soumis par le client et clarifier les exigences avant de terminer les dessins de fabrication
  • Résolution de problèmes avec AutoCAD;
  • S'assurer que les dessins sont correctement enregistrés et archivés.
  • Établir des relations avec les clients internes.

 

Qualifications requises pour le Technicien DAO senior:

  • Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) en design industriel, techniques de génie mécanique OU Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) en dessin technique dans un domaine connexe.
  • 2 ans et plus d'expérience de travail pertinente sur AutoCAD 2D
  • Excellentes compétences en AutoCAD (SolidWorks un atout)
  • Solides compétences en communication, écrite et verbale (français et/ou anglais de préférence.)
  • Très méticuleux
  • Capable de travailler sous pression
  • Excellentes compétences en informatique, y compris Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Compétences mathématiques générales.
  • Bonne organisation et capacité à travailler en équipe.

Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is currently seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join our Design team in Ville St. Laurent Montreal, QC. The Senior CAD Technician will mainly be responsible for carrying out the design and manufacturing drawings of products related to custom project requirements and according to the production capability.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate and clear manufacturing drawings to required standards using 2D et 3D software (AutoCad (required) and SolidWorks (an asset))
  • Proactively create and maintain CAD library drawing files with little supervision.
  • Prepare related technical information and produce documents such as fabrication assembly drawings, detailed manufacturing listings, and production work packages.
  • Recognize problems or issues with customer submitted drawings and clarify requirements before completing manufacturing drawings
  • Troubleshoot with AutoCAD;
  • Ensure drawings are properly recorded and archived.
  • Building relationships with internal customers.

 

Required Qualifications for the Senior CAD Technician:

  • CEGEP College Diploma (DEC), in Industrial Design, mechanical engineering technology OR High School Diploma (DEP) in technical drawing in related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant AutoCAD 2D work experience
  • Strong AutoCAD skills (SolidWorks an asset)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (French and/or English preferable.)
  • Very meticulous
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • General mathematical abilities.
  • Good organization and ability to work in a team environment.
