Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Strategic Project CSR is responsible for communications with customers on Strategic Projects and working on a team to successfully meet the project’s cost, schedule and performance requirements.  The successful candidate will have experience in customer service, preferably the building products industry, and is familiar with Axiom and Serpentina.

 

Primary Areas of responsibility include:

  • Primary contact with customer
  • Creation of new item numbers
  • Provide information to Sales Manager for pricing
  • Provide quotes to customers
  • Follow-up on quoted jobs to ensure job closure

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Effectively and positively communicate with all customers on strategic and custom projects
  • Information to be inclusive of; project details, project materials, project issues, and lead-times
  • Ensure the customer has provided all necessary information for the successful completion of the project; expected ship date, special colors, special material
  • Confirm the customer has provided the proper signed documentation to start he project
  • Receive a PO from the customer and accurately enter the order into the sales order software (Microsoft Navision)
  • Provide confirmations and vital information in a timely manner
  • Provide and support creation of new product and custom product item numbers
  • Obtains information for technical problem resolution related to transportation, logistics and planning
  • Follow through on customer issues until there is complete resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Following, understanding and interpreting Policies and Procedures as well as system capabilities and is able to answer questions in all Customer Focus Center and Techline subject areas
  • Responsible for entering claim for credit requests as they occur, including research required for claims resolution
  • Follow-Up on quoted job to improve project closure rates

 

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION and COLLABORATION

  • Collaborate and communicate with all members of the Strategic Project Team to ensure successful project execution
  • Actively participate in established project meetings and provide information during the meetings to keep projects on schedule.
  • Provide essential information to sales teams, CAD, and manufacturing to guarantee customer satisfaction

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Positive communication skills that ensure customer satisfaction and positive interactions
  • The ability to be an effective team member that consistently contributes to the success of the team
  • Use of computer software used for customer order entry, project tracking, communication, and process improvement

     

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience or training
    • Microsoft Navision, SAP, Salesforce.com or CES preferred
  • Building products industry experience
    • Axiom and Serpentina Product Knowledge
  • Commitment to consistently exceed the customer’s expectations
  • Superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, be accountable and possess a strong propensity towards change and process improvement.
  • Possess Proficiency in operating a PC with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • CAD Experience preferred
