Location: Work from home position located in Chicago , Illinois 


As our Architectural & Contract Sales Executive, you will interact with architects, contractor, owners, facility managers and distributors to influence the specification and purchase of Armstrong commercial ceiling systems. Additionally, you will be expected to exceed sales budgets and will interact and partner with other Armstrong sales reps to drive improved business results.




What you'll be doing:

  • Achieving territory goals and growing the business
  • Influencing people who make buying and/or selling decisions
  • Assisting architects and/or designers in writing specifications
  • Selling in order to maintain and/or gain a competitive advantage
  • Tracking projects to establish plans for selling Armstrong products
  • Working with customers to comply with Armstrong specifications
  • Growing the business by increasing market share and creating customer value
  • Maintaining sales effectiveness in order to follow a formal sales career progression
  • Leaning and improving continuously through individual and team initiatives


What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business discipline or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing multiple relationships and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to plan effectively, short and long term
  • Must be proficient in working with computer software such as SalesForce and Microsoft Windows applications


Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge and experience with construction, contracting, distribution, specification sales, and knowledge of market segments, customers, and distribution channels
  • Experience with SalesForce
  • Experience in architectural selling
