The estimated base salary range for this role is “$60,000 to $68,000” per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

Reporting to the Manager of Account Management, the Account Manager provides sales administrative support, project coordination, and customer service acting as a liaison between our sales representatives and our internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience from project conception through post-installation.

What you’ll do

Client Relationships

  • Creates and maintains strong relationships with customers, sales reps, and internal teams.
  • Maintains a positive public disposition during high-stress situations.
  • Works with sales reps to support specifier relationships and identify issues that may affect future company specification.
  • Acts as company product and process expert externally for reps and clients.
  • Assists specifiers in writing company specifications on construction documents, as needed.

Pre-Sales

  • Coordinates and hosts design intake meetings with specifiers, sales reps, and internal teams.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to find solutions for unique product or installation scenarios.
  • Works with sales reps to identify additional sales opportunities and/or project roadblocks.
  • Fields inquiries relating to the physical and technical aspects of products.
  • Creates, runs, and analyzes sales and pipeline reports.
  • Organizes and executes samples, mockups, and custom strike off samples as needed.
  • Manages design proposal timeline internally and externally and issues proposals according to client timeline.
  • Reviews design proposals with clients and sets up revisions based on feedback.

Project Management (Internal)

  • Controls project flow for the life of a project from pre-sales through shipping.
  • Reviews architectural drawings and identifies company scope.
  • Translates design ideas between clients and internal Design Team.
  • Provides administrative direction to internal teams (design, manufacturing coordination, production, purchasing, shipping) to ensure a project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborates with project designer to confirm intake and scope, and ensure drawings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Updates and manages internal databases throughout the life of a project.
  • Reviews shop drawings with client and sets up revisions based on feedback, as needed.
  • Works with Estimating Team to answer questions and confirm scope on quotes throughout each project.
  • Works closely with Finance Team in setting up customer terms, deposits, final payments, and purchase orders.

Project Management (External)

  • Receives, processes, and manages multiple incoming orders with unique requirements and timelines.
  • Provides consistent communication to client and sales rep at every stage of the project.
  • Hosts project meetings to resolve any questions quickly.
  • Communicates standard lead times and strategizes on how to meet client’s deadlines.
  • Enters new customers and generates deposit invoices.
  • Follows up on deposits, final payments, open orders and pending information from clients.
  • Produces order acknowledgements for each project.
  • Provides thoughtful and timely communication if a project has internal issues or hiccups.
  • Sends samples and cutsheets to client for submittal approval.
  • Maintains both internal and external communication in Outlook and NetSuite.
  • Sends closeout documents (warranty, storage guide, etc.), as needed.
  • Manages add on reorders for clients to complete their job in a timely manner.
  • Works with sales reps and APMs (Architectural Project Manager) if post-sales/install issues arise.

What will make you stand out

  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in sales support or inside sales preferred.
  • Experience in the Architecture + Design field is a plus.
  • Experience working in cloud-based CRM system preferred.

  1. Office Environment – This position operates in a professional office environment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. No PPE is required.
  2. Plant Environment – This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions.  Required PPE includes Hard hat (when required), safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection.
