Location: Work from home position located in Edmonton , Alberta 


As our Full Line Sales Manager, you will cover the Edmonton, Alberta (75%) some company travel including Winnipeg, Manitoba (25%) regions as part of the Canadian Sales team.  In this role you will interact with architects, distributors, contractors, owners, and facility managers to influence the specification and purchase of AWI commercial ceilings and wall systems. You will also be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales budget regarding price, volume, and mix, as well as interacting and partnering with other AWI sales representatives to drive improved business results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive sales of Armstrong products through established distribution and contractor channels
  • Build strong relationships with architects, owners, facility managers, contractors, and distributors
  • Influence the specification and purchase of AWI commercial ceilings, grid, and wall systems
  • Assist architects and designers in writing specifications for AWI products with an emphasis on gaining competitive advantage
  • Specify, track, and close jobs within the assigned territory by creating value and providing each AWI customer with a competitive advantage
  • Achieve territory goals in sales volume, mix, new products, and pricing
  • Grow business through increasing and maintaining market share
  • Improve continuously by focusing on overall sales effectiveness, a key metric in AWI’s formal sales career progression process


What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Commercial building product sales experience and knowledge
  • Prior experience in construction, contracting, distribution, and specification sales
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and good knowledge of (SFDC),  Adobe Acrobat, Blue Beam and Showpad
  • Demonstrated success in architectural selling
  • Knowledge of market segments, customers, and distribution channels
  • Demonstrated ability with effectively managing multiple relationships and priorities
  • Proven ability with short- and long-term planning


Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience with interior finishing product sales
