As our SAP Security Specialist, you will be responsible for participating in and overseeing a variety of analytical and technical assignments, including problems diagnosis and solutions for a variety of software and application components. Your time will be broadly split between providing day-to-day operational support for existing application services to users of those services and project-based work leading to the development and deployment of new application services and business process improvements. You will also be responsible for providing both on-site and remote access diagnoses and resolution of software, application, and business process problems.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and participating in the design, implementation, and enhancement of business specific custom and standard applications
  • Providing support to SAP global end users; resolve issues, transfer knowledge, and training
  • Delivering on-call support for critical issue resolution
  • Lead requirements gathering in order to provide technical guidance on options and solutions
  • Overseeing promotion of configuration and development changes throughout our environment
  • Managing and coordinating large, medium, and small systems or business projects
  • Supports, researches, analyzes, develops and documents new and existing processes, procedures and solutions to meet business needs.
  • Supporting the development and management of relationships with vendors
  • Participating in the development, implementation and maintenance of best-practice standards, policies, procedures, and associated training plans
  • Participating in integrated systems planning and recommending new or different technologies
  • Establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to improve global standardization and organizational efficiencies
  • Assisting in the recruitment and selection of project resources
  • Identifying and prioritizing projects associated with the system maintenance, development, and implementation
  • Researching and evaluating new and alternative solutions and technologies
  • Creating and maintaining of multi-year functional roadmaps
  • Contributing to development of overall strategy, tactics, planning, and execution of initiatives
  • Documenting technical design and analysis work, including project documentation
  • Maintaining application documentation and process topology

 

What will make you successful

  • Demonstrated configuration experience within SAP ECC or GRC
  • Familiar with integrations across SAP modules and experience with global and regional implementations
  • Knowledge of relationship between security and business processes
  • Broad understanding of SOX Compliance and Segregation of Duties
  • Working knowledge of technologies commonly utilized in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to translate technical details into business language and ability to build relationships
  • Broad working knowledge of application support principles
  • Skills in comprehending and sharing strategy, vision, and direction

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science, Engineering, or related OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of related technology business process experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of application architecture
  • Certification in either a process discipline (ITIL, PMI, Six Sigma) or technical discipline (SAP, Data Warehousing)
  • Experience with Xiting Authorizations Management Suite (XAMS)
