The estimated base salary range for this role is “$65,000 to $75,000” per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

The Learning and Development Specialist is a pivotal role on our Human Resources Team responsible for leading the development, execution, and continuous improvement of employee learning and development content at Armstrong World Industries.  You will be responsible for creating impactful learning experiences that drive employee growth and organizational success. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing employee capabilities and driving organizational success through comprehensive training strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the development, execution and continuous improvement of employee learning and development (L&D) content and programs for managers, supervisors, and individual contributors.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) – respond to system inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support (includes coordinating all AWI required learning).
  • Manage and maintain data, communications, programming logistics and materials (confidential and non-confidential) for internal and external meetings, training, and events (includes attending all live/virtual sessions to provide just-in-time support).
  • Support talent management processes within SuccessFactors including communications, testing, training materials and deployment of new/upgraded functionality.
  • Manage the ‘Tuition Reimbursement Program’ (TRP) including policy updates and deployment, applicant approvals, budget monitoring & annual improvement recommendations.
  • Conduct/manage VOC feedback process and survey tool to to gauge satisfaction and success of philanthropic, wellness, learning, and diversity and inclusion activities.
  • Conduct needs assessments to align L&D needs and offerings to support professional development.
  • Create monitoring and measurement systems to track the effectiveness and value of all L&D programs, processes, and systems.
  • Support the delivery of leadership and employee assessment tools: DISC, 360, etc.
  • Partner with Director of Talent Development for the review and selection of all external L&D program partners, resources & processes.
  • Support the Corporate HR Managers – Org management changes/updates, creating positions/requisitions and project work as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a college degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in workflow, coordination, and innovation of programs and processes
