Our Finance team is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist at our headquarters in Lancaster, Pa.  As Payroll Specialist, you will mainly be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as related to Payroll processing, such as monthly premium processing and vacation rate reporting. As Payroll Specialist, you will also serve as the eTime System Administrator and function as the conduit between the manufacturing facilities users, IT, and ADP.

 

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of employees' pay
  • Employ knowledge of federal and state (wage and hour) labor laws
  • Communicate with plants about Time and Attendance related issues
  • Enter accurate pay rules into time and attendance systems
  • Create, maintain, and communicate training materials for Time and Attendance
  • Communicates monthly progress to management on any open pay rule changes, issues, and resolutions
  • Identify areas of process improvement related to payroll processing and time and attendance
  • Assume responsibility for reconciliation of payroll for assigned facilities
  • Follow company procedures and checklist for reconciliation process
  • Perform Acceptance Testing, including documented testing plans for newly released functionality and change within the Time and Attendance Systems.
  • Serve as primary contact to answer Time and Attendance-related questions
  • Assist with documenting Time and Attendance and reconciliation-related metrics
  • Validate, process, and report payroll information for all frequencies of payroll processing
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Assist Payroll Manager with special projects related to mergers & acquisitions, plant requests, vendor changes, year-end requests, and testing of any system-related changes
  • Serve as backup to Payroll Manager in the event Payroll Manager is unavailable

 

Required Qualifications and Education of the Payroll Specialist:

  • GED or High School Diploma 
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Lotus Notes.
  • Experience using Kronos and eTime systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll
  • Advanced knowledge of Payroll is required for level III, CPP is required

 

Preferred Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in HR or Business a plus.
  • CPP is desired for level III
  • Experience with SAP and ESS
