The estimated base salary range for this role is $78,320 to per $133,910 year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors.

Reporting to the Manager, Consolidations and Financial Reporting, the Senior Accounting Analyst is accountable for providing leadership through the preparation and review of the consolidated U.S. GAAP based financial statements, including segment information.  Responsibilities include performing the monthly general ledger accounting close (including oversight of outsourced offshore accounting close activities, and related SOX compliance/internal controls).

What you'll do

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly U.S. GAAP based financial statements and segment information.
  • Prepare and/or review preparation of 10Q/10K footnotes and disclosure support.
  • Serve as a key user for SAP general ledger close process and OneStream consolidation process.
  • Perform the monthly consolidation process by loading SAP data into OneStream, posting journal entries, completing appropriate system checks and performing eliminations.
  • Complete SAP general ledger maintenance.  Tasks include master data set up, updating assessment and distribution cycles, running month end closing procedures and completing year end maintenance.
  • Complete OneStream administration.  Provide new user access and set up acquisition entities and new accounts.
  • Prepare actionable reporting and analysis to support the company’s financial closings and external reporting processes and to ensure the reliability of reported results.
  • Communicate with colleagues at various locations to resolve issues and monthly closing discrepancies and follow up with appropriate action.
  • Support the administration of BlackLine account reconciliation software.
  • Recommend, develop and implement changes to continually improve processes, support standardization, and improve the effectiveness of closing and reporting processes.
  • Document policies, procedures, workflow and checklists for assigned responsibilities.
  • Confirm and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and drive compliance with internal controls.  Ensure appropriate internal controls are planned and adhered to through process design and review.
  • Liaison and coordinate SOX compliance and audit reviews with internal and external auditors.
  • Prepare and approve audit account reconciliations applicable to area of responsibility.
  • Manage and maintain accounting policies as assigned.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to ascertain the reasonableness and accuracy of information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – particularly MS Excel.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other groups within Armstrong.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities; must be a self-starter and take the initiative in completing projects and assignments.

 

Qualification                               

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar field required.
  • 5+ years of financial reporting experience and/or accounting experience required.
