The estimated base salary range for this role is “$74,180.00 to $111,280.00” per year.  
Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors

Summary

 

As the Senior Tax Analyst working on a remote or hybrid basis within our Tax Department, your area of focus will involve the preparation, review, and reporting of federal and state tax returns for Armstrong at our headquarters in Lancaster, PA,

 

A significant portion of your time as Senior Tax Analyst will involve preparing and reviewing income tax provisions, and federal and state income tax returns, and providing continuous support to corporate tax initiatives in the areas of strategic planning, internal controls compliance, and income tax audits.

 

Additionally, you will be expected to apply your tax expertise to all aspects of Armstrong's business transactions and will play a critical role in calculating and reporting Armstrong's income tax liabilities.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Supporting reporting process improvements for financial and income tax statements
  • Finalizing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns and performing tax research
  • Identifying income tax issues and FIN 48 positions along with alternative resolutions
  • Preparing valuation allowance analysis and reconciling income tax accounts
  • Composing state tax apportionment and net operating loss work papers
  • Assessing tax notices and maintaining the tax notice databases to ensure compliance
  • Inspecting and generating responses to income tax audits
  • Identifying tax credit opportunities and assisting with SOX compliance and data management
  • Contributing to tax planning projects by providing evaluation, documentation, and conclusions
  • Implementing process improvement initiatives within the Tax Department.
  • Preparing the income tax provision on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Staying abreast of potential income tax law changes
  • Creating and reviewing quarterly estimates and extensions of payments

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of tax revision and research expertise within a public accounting or corporate tax environment
  • Familiarity with corporate tax software and tax research products
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
  • Experience with ONESOURCE Income Tax and Tax Provision software (preferred)
  • Previous experience with SAP and/or OneStream (preferred)
