The Treasury Analyst contributes to a broad spectrum of Treasury and Insurance Risk Management activities. The Treasury Analyst will team with the department’s other Treasury Analyst to execute the day-to-day Treasury activities of the company, including cash management, liquidity planning and insurance analytics. In addition, the Treasury Analyst will be responsible for generating key weekly and monthly reports. The Treasury Analyst will report to the Treasury & Risk Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Facilitate daily treasury operations and ensure accurate cash reporting.
- Process treasury invoices and electronic payments requests from subsidiaries and the Financial Services team.
- Monitor and analyze the company’s cash position. Obtain accounts receivable and accounts payable reports from subsidiaries and the Financial Services team to develop the weekly cash forecast.
- Process daily cash and cash reconciliations and subsequent journal entry postings; assist with miscellaneous check deposits.
- Analyze and report on monthly bank service fees. Explore and evaluate bank services and processes and incorporate best practices.
- Assist joint venture with cash transactions, cash flow and analysis.
- Serve as bank administrator for users, audit reviews and service modifications.
- Provide information in connection with the external and internal audits, and monitor cash management activities to ensure compliance.
- Assist in maintaining banking records and legal documentation, including SOX and FBAR-related documentation.
- Liaise with company’s subsidiaries in setting up new bank accounts, services and handling inquires and related matters.
- Act as liaison between accounting and other functions on all treasury related matters.
- Prepare monthly workers’ compensation reporting package and investigate variances. Reconcile monthly invoices.
- Assist with insurance renewal process and state insurance filings.
- Manage the certificate of insurance process and maintain the company’s database of existing certificates.
- Assist with the issuance and maintenance of surety bonds and standby letters of credit related to the company’s workers compensation and casualty insurance program.

Qualifications

- Very detail oriented with a need for accuracy
- Ability to comprehend cash movement and post journal entries
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an independent environment
- Strong process improvement orientation
- MS Office proficiency, especially Excel
- Experience with online banking portals, treasury management systems and software
- Familiarity with Sarbanes – Oxley (SOX)
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of finance/accounting work experience
