Job Title: Team Lead 2nd shift – Finish Department
Location: Marshfield MO
Function: Operations / Production
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Shift: 2nd shift – 3:15pm to 2:00am
Shift: Sunday - Wednesday 4/10, overtime on Thursday/Friday
Rate of pay $26.46 hour
Sign-on Bonus: $2,500 ($1,250 at 3 months + $1,250 at 9 months) (external hire only)
Retention Bonus: $1,000 after one year of service (external hire only)

Job Output:
This employee is responsible for working on production orders 85% of the time during the 40-hour week and 100% of the time on overtime. The 15% during the 40-hour week will be for ensuring and maintaining all manufacturing standards, ensuring work schedules are accomplished and manpower is scheduled accordingly. Promotes and governs a safe working environment. Supports and enforces company policy. Mentors and coaches employees on all aspects of production, safety, quality, cost, delivery. Reports directly to the Production Supervisor. This role is also capable of performing duties of the Production Supervisor when away (refer to Process Job Description for Production Supervisor)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Ensure all employees and processes are performing in a safe manner.
• Own and sign-off on the accuracy of 1st piece and while running checklists to ensure the 100% quality of products that leave your area.
• Assist with employee interviews, reviews, and other employee issues.
• Assist Production Supervisor in utilizing progressive discipline as needed with behavioral and performance issues.
• Ensure all employees are at the workstation on time, on-task and working seamlessly from 1st shift.
• Work with the maintenance team to schedule and tend to parts and repair issues.
• Perform routine and non-routine repetitive production and/or service duties to include operation of specialty machinery, setup of complex tooling and equipment, completion of reports and logs, follow-up on work schedules.
• Interpret process sheets for workers.
• Read measuring instruments.
• Must communicate with direct reports, give recognition, and give direction.
• Must communicate with the Safety department to ensure all safety and OSHA 1910 standards are followed.
• Must build relationships with the 1st shift team members and leadership and utilize those relationships to capitalize on both shifts’ capabilities to strategically execute production planning.
• Understand project and departmental training requirements and execute the required training and communication of that training between both shifts.

Required

• Understanding of finishing machines, tools, and processes, ability to troubleshoot the same and communicate maintenance requirements to the maintenance team.
• Extensive knowledge of finishing top coats and their utilization based on project requirements, as well as understanding of compatibility between different top coats utilized by the Finish Department.
• Ability to identify quality deficiencies, assess the most efficient means of correcting those deficiencies within the production process, and train others to do the same, in order to maximize departmental product flow.
