The estimated base salary range for this role is “$70,000 to $90,000 CAD” per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting employees at the Plasterform manufacturing facility in Mississauga. This onsite position is responsible for overseeing both strategic and day-to-day HR operations, ensuring a positive and compliant workplace for 50+ employees. Key areas of focus include policy administration, recruitment and staffing, employee onboarding and training, benefits and leave management, employee relations, performance management, and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about fostering a strong workplace culture.

What You’ll Do:
HR Service Delivery
- Build strong relationships with employees by engaging in proactive workplace interactions.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and temp agency partnerships.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and manage paid time off and leave requests.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and process employee actions (hires, promotions, terminations).
- Conduct wage surveys and collaborate on compensation strategies.
Coach & Develop Front-Line Supervisors
- Provide leadership training and coaching to supervisors.
- Guide managers on employee performance, conflict resolution, and discipline administration.
- Conduct investigations as needed.
Worker’s Compensation & Safety
- Partner with the EHS Specialist on worker’s compensation cases and safety incident investigations.
Policies, Compliance & Communication
- Develop and update HR policies and ensure compliance with company and legal regulations.
- Maintain employee bulletin boards and required postings.
- Lead compliance training initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Recognition
- Organize employee events, meals, and charitable initiatives.
- Support employee recognition programs to foster a positive work culture.
What Will Make You Successful?
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—ability to engage employees at all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS software.
- Working knowledge of Ontario labor laws.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in human resources
What Will Make You Stand Out?
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction setting
- Bilingual (Vietnamese and English)
- Experience managing HR in a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to coach and develop supervisors.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, safety compliance, and compensation strategies.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
