Armstrong World Industries (AWI) cherche actuellement un ingénieur de procédé pour rejoindre l’équipe de Montréal. L’ingénieur de procédé sera principalement responsable de trois grands domaines fonctionnels : machine, outillage, optimisation et gestion des essais opérationnels produit, projets et soutien de l’amélioration continue et la production traite des améliorations et soutien.


Responsabilités principales :


  • Optimisation des outillages et gestion des essais opérationnels de produits
  • Gérer les essais et capacités de production dans le développement de nouveaux produits
  • Documenter les tests et essais, l'utilisation de l'outillage et le démarrage de nouvelles catégories de produits
  • Gérer les requis de nouveaux outillages punchs/matrices sur divers équipements et procédés
  • Développer l’expertise interne de conception et d'amélioration des outillages et de nouvelles fonctionnalités
  • Participer activement aux équipes de projet multifonctionnelles ainsi qu’avec les fournisseurs
  • Amélioration des procédés de production
  • Analyser les problèmes opérationnels des procédés et équipements, recommander des actions correctives
  • Supporter les améliorations d’aménagements et d’organisation et recommander des actions préventives
  • Investiguer les méthodes de fabrication et d’assemblage pour en réduire les des temps d'arrêt
  • Optimiser les processus d'étude et de résolution de problèmes
  • Prise en charge des améliorations continues
  • Piloter notre système d'amélioration continue, assurer un fonctionnement efficace du Lean
  • Diriger et / ou participer à des événements Kaizen, conduire des améliorations et travail d’équipe
  • Supporter et diriger des projets d’investissements et d’améliorations des procédés


Qualifications et formation recherché :


  • Baccalauréat en ingénierie ou diplôme technique
  • Connaissance technique de l’outillage et des équipements dans l’industrie du pliage métallique
  • Bonne connaissance du logiciel AutoCad et des applications MSOffice
  • Expérience dans un environnement de fabrication et planification de projet
  • Aptitude confirmée à communiquer et à bien s’intégrer entre les fonctions et unités de l’organisation


Qualifications additionnelles :


  • 3 ans minimum d’expérience dans une industrie similaire
  • Expérience dans l’outillage poinçons / matrices dans l’industrie du pliage des métaux
  • Expérience d'amélioration de procédés de fabrication
  • Bonne connaissance des principes d’améliorations continues et du Lean





Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join team in Montreal, Quebec. The Process Engineer will mainly be responsible for three main functional areas:  machine tooling optimization and operational product trial management, projects and continuous improvements support, and production processes improvements and support.


Responsibilities of the Process Engineer:


  • Perform machine tooling optimization and operational product trials
  • Lead production tests and trials on new product development and capabilities
  • Proceed with thorough documentation of processes, tooling usage, and new product start-up
  • Analyze process method and downtime reduction and provide improvements
  • Lead equipment new tooling and punch/dies requirements on various equipment and processes
  • Develop internal expertise in tooling design and improvements; explore new capabilities
  • Collaborate with vendors to procure and install assets
  • Investigate operational problems within processes and equipment and recommend corrective actions
  • Analyze supporting data, support layout optimization, and recommend preventive actions
  • Drive continuous improvement system and ensure effective functioning to Lean operating system
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events; drive team process improvements
  • Assist with project and continuous improvements support


Required Qualifications and Education of the Process Engineer:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical degree
  • Technical knowledge of metal industry tooling and equipment
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and MS Office applications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and project planning


Preferred Qualifications of the Process Engineer:


  • 3+ years of industry related experience
  • Experience in tooling punch/dies design, metal punching and bending
  • Process improvement experience
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives and advanced Lean concepts
