The estimated base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will leverage cutting-edge NLP and generative AI techniques to extract structured data from diverse document types. From there, you will build models that understand context, domain-specific jargon and generate documents. The output of your work will enable long-term strategic advantages for the company.

You’ll also help evaluate opportunities for ML within the company, proposing ideas, methods, and experiments to improve internal processes and service architects.

What You’ll Do

  • Applying transformers and other ML models for sales outcome prediction from document data.
  • Building ML pipelines for document processing
  • Using ML models to diagnose how document language impacts outcomes
  • Writing robust and testable code
  • Cultivating strong collaborations with teammates and stakeholders
  • Sharing technical solutions and product ideas with the team through design/code reviews and weekly meetings

 

 

What will make you successful

  • Experience transforming natural language data into useful features using NLP techniques to feed classification algorithms
  • Knowledge of applying transformers to solve supervised learning problems.
  • Can manipulate data to perform analysis, including querying data, defining metrics, and using data to evaluate a hypothesis.
  • Knowledge of LLMs and their applications
  • Knowledge of software versioning control repositories such as GitHub
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable items and communicate findings in a simplistic way
  • Enthusiasm for learning new things and going deep into detailed data analysis
  • Workflow flexibility, team player, and strong collaboration skills

 

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent field with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in software development, statistical modeling, and machine learning OR MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or equivalent field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in software development, statistical modeling, and machine learning
  • Experience in processing and modeling text and document data for ML applications.
  • 4+ years of work and/or education experience with Python
  • Familiarity with SQL or other querying languages
  • Proficiency in any of the following: Azure, AWS, Pytorch, shell CLI, langchain, llama-index, Tableau, and Docker.
